Overview:
We are seeking a Business Analyst / Data Analyst who specializes in data manipulation, ETL processes, data quality control (QC), and dataset preparation for analytic reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with business intelligence tools and ensuring the right data is structured to enable accurate and effective reporting. Some SQL knowledge is required, and familiarity with AI-driven analytics is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and ensure the right data is available for analysis.
Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations to cleanse, merge, and organize data for reporting and analytics.
Conduct data quality control (QC) checks to identify and resolve data discrepancies, anomalies, and inconsistencies.
Design and implement data validation processes to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency across datasets.
Create and maintain data pipelines to automate data flow between systems.
Utilize SQL to query databases, perform data extraction, and create views/tables for reporting.
Develop and execute data audits to monitor and improve data integrity.
Collaborate with BI teams to design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar BI tools.
Work with development teams on AI-enhanced analytics, ensuring AI models have properly structured and high-quality data.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role.
Strong ETL and data transformation skills (using tools like SQL, Python, R, Alteryx, Talend, or others).
Experience in Data Quality Control (QC), including data validation, integrity checks, and troubleshooting inconsistencies.
Proficiency in SQL for querying databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Snowflake).
Experience working with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into structured data solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality datasets.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
Experience with AI and machine learning models as they pertain to business intelligence.
Knowledge of cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Familiarity with APIs and data integration between multiple platforms.
Experience with data governance and compliance best practices.
