Python Scraper for Greek Hotels

Job ID: 40636876

Budget: $150 – $250 USD

I’m looking for a Python-based scraping solution that can harvest 65,000 unique records covering hotels and apartments located anywhere in Greece. The data will be used strictly for educational and statistical analysis.

Scope
• Build a self-contained Python script (ideally using requests, BeautifulSoup, Selenium, Scrapy, or similar) that visits agreed-upon sources—such as travel aggregators, official hotel pages, or review platforms—to pull the information.
• Save every record to a single, well-structured CSV file.
• Core fields I need are the establishment’s name and full address area/ city. I’m also interested in current pricing and availability. Images, facilities, and types of rooms and info pinned on the google map if those can be captured without breaching site policies. We can finalise the exact list together before you start.
• Implement basic deduplication so the final dataset contains only one entry per property.
• Code must be clean, commented, and ready to rerun whenever I need fresh numbers.

Expectations
• Respect each website’s robots.txt and terms of service; throttle requests to avoid bans.
• Provide progress updates and a small sample CSV early on so I can verify format and data quality.
• Deliver the finished script, any dependency list (requirements.txt), and the complete CSV containing all 65,000 rows.

The script must be added and run without issue, although in my VPS server, where need to set up no commercial vpn solution

If you have prior experience scraping large travel datasets or building scalable spiders, I’d love to see examples.
