I’m looking for an experienced freelancer to design a single-cell (1S) 18650 battery pack that includes an integrated BMS and a physical on/off switch. This is for a real, functional product — not a school project.
The design must be safe, compact, and production-ready, with proper protection and clean wiring.
Scope of Work
Design a 1S 18650 battery pack
Select or recommend an appropriate BMS (over-charge, over-discharge, short-circuit protection)
Integrate a physical on/off switch (rocker, slide, or toggle — open to recommendations)
Provide a clear wiring diagram
Recommend suitable components (BMS, switch, holder or welded tabs)
Ensure the design allows safe charging through the BMS
Requirements
Proven experience with 18650 battery pack design
Strong understanding of Li-ion battery safety
Experience with BMS wiring and protection circuits
Ability to provide clear documentation and diagrams
Deliverables
Wiring diagram (clear and labeled)
Component list with part numbers
Brief explanation of system operation
Safety notes and best practices
One fully assembled and functional prototype battery pack
