Need a mock Elementary OS (Ubuntu 16.04) log-in screen running at startup
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
Simple mock Elementary OS (Ubuntu 16.04) log-in screen running at startup
I am a content producer and for a new style format gameshow, an upcoming shoot involves one cast member (a.) pranking the other (cast member b.). by taking their laptop away as they leave the room and upon return, cast member (b.) discovers the other is "holding the laptop hostage" by making it appear as if they had changed the password. In order to unlock the laptop with the "new password," [and to win the secretly occurring gameshow taking place unbeknownst to cast member (b.)] cast member (b.) must attempt to guess the answers to pre-selected questions that will match with the answers cast member (a.) had previously guessed would be answered by cast member (b.)
To simplify what is needed for this project, the objective is to have a GUI appear immediately after boot up (we will be removing the user password and have the encryption lock automatically logged in so it will be as if the system is unlocked and you simply need to create to create a program that:
- uses the attached "logo2forprogram.png" or similarly found online file to appear similar to "current-login-screen.jpeg"
- prevents keyboard shortcuts from being used while running (no alt+tab or Ctrl+alt+T to open a terminal if possible to give the impression of a real login screen)
- provides a text input field to appear as if it is asking for a password
- regardless of input, it will reject and report the first 2 entries as being incorrect
- on the third entered input, it will show some sort of login successful notification and have a brief delay to imitate loading into the system while executing any scripts we have prepared (in this case, have it execute a "./thanks4playing" bash script
- as an added bonus, but is not necessary to the main project, if it can log and save to file the three inputs of the user and be scripted to automatically upload the file to an FTP server or emailed to a specified address when a network connection is established, that would be an additional payment milestone for the project which we will add
