Bash test to evaluate candidates for relevant roles -- 2

Job ID: 32901665

Budget: $100 – $300 USD

Hey there,

I'm looking for an expert in Bash to collaborate with us in creating a test to evaluate candidates who apply to positions that need good knowledge of Bash.

**What's in for you?**
- Build your reputation: We share information about you with thousands of our customers, which is a good opportunity to showcase your skills and expertise in your field. (If you prefer not to have your name shown, we can do that, too).

- Receive expert coaching: This will be a rewarding and collaborative process. We'll be providing guidance and feedback throughout the project at predetermined intervals. In the end, we will also conduct a technical review with a third-party expert to ensure all technical details are correct.

- Flexibility: We also provide the possibility for a smaller project where you create the test structure, some of the 104 questions (depending on our agreement), and then review some questions created by others. This more flexible project will result in a lesser overall fee but can be done faster and with less input. We're open to discussing it with the right people.

**What is this job about?**
The project consists of creating a test structure (determining the 3-4 main skill areas to test and breaking those down into 4-6 specific categories of skills to include in each) and writing 104 questions based on that test structure. The test will evaluate intermediate knowledge (2-3 years of experience) of Bash.

The test will be made primarily of scenario-based (also called situational judgment) questions in multiple-choice format. The platform also supports multiple-response questions, True/False, and text-entry questions, but those will be used far less (if at all). These questions will be based on real-life scenarios that candidates have to solve. That means, we're not looking for theoretical or standard textbook questions that only show how "familiar" someone is in theory, but questions that can evaluate actual practice through solving problems.

All questions submitted must be your own, original work. We can't use material from other sources on our site or any material copyrighted by others, or that's infringing on the copyrights of others. All material is checked for originality and copyright issues.

**Whom are we looking for?**
You have to be a deep subject matter expert in Bash with extensive experience in the field, a proven track record to create appropriate material. You should also have strong English writing skills since this project involves a lot of writing that needs to be clear and precise.

Experience as an instructor/coach in this area is preferred but not required.

**Hire the best!**
We take seriously creating a fair, efficient, and bias-free hiring process. To ensure this, shortlisted candidates will be required to take a paid assessment . This will be an exciting opportunity for you to get to know our product and the sort of questions you’ll be creating.

This assessment will evaluate Reading Comprehension, Critical Thinking, and reviewing 2 multiple-choice questions. It will take ≤30 minutes to complete.

**Sounds like you could be a good fit?**
Please send samples of test questions (practical multiple-choice questions) you may have created before on Bash or similar topics or get in touch to know more.
