Retirement Party Planning
Budget: $15 – $25 CAD
I am the chair of the board of directors for St. Matthew's Bracondale House (www.smbh.ca). We are a not-for-profit seniors affordable housing building with 145 apartments located at 707 St. Clair Avenue West in mid-town Toronto. In addition, we operated a seniors active living centre for seniors who live in the local community. Our residents are a mix of active and frail seniors.
Our Executive Director is retiring after 25 years in the position and we want have a retirement party on Friday, September 26, 2025 for her with residents, community members, and invited guests such as funders, resident family members and others.
We would like to hold the event in our large program space on-site from 3:00-5:30 pm on Sept. 26. Having the event onsite at this time will make it possible for some of our frail seniors to attend. I would estimate that there could be up to 200 attendees over the 2.5 hours. Food will probably be prepared by our cook.
We don't have staff to allocate to this event and want to ensure that our retiring ED is honoured appropriately for her years of service.
