Machine Learning Sports Prediction Model
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I'm looking for a skilled Python developer and an EXPERTin Machine Learning to refine an existing model that predicts outcomes of greyhound races. I have built the model mostly using AI but i am in experienced and need someone to build on and deliver better results (as per backtesting) whether thats via other models (currently LGBM), feature selection etc. A machine learning expert is needed .
The key outcome is a model that generates a capacity to predict probabilties via a backtest (obviously no data leakage). Please dont apply if you dont believe this can be achieved.
The model currently imports and formats data, builds features, runs the model (lgbm), produces a backtest and produces daily forecasts. It is built on Jupyter Notebook.
Key requirements:
- Develop and refine a robust ML model using Python and improve the results!!
- Use historical data to train the model
- Ensure high accuracy in predictions
- Provide a detailed report on model performance
Ideal skills:
- Machine Laearning Expert
- Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
- Strong background in data analysis and statistical modeling and machine learning.
- Experience with sports data is a plus and understanding greyhound racing
- Ability to communicate findings effectively
