Crypto Backtesting App with Google Sheets Integration
I have a google sheet that has portfolio structure at different dates with parameters that I want to backtest over a previous time period (the last 12 months however what we build should support a customisable date range that goes further back).
I need a backtesting tool built that will read data from my google sheet, execute the backtest(s) and return the result in data and ideally visually represented too (and in phase 2, return the most optimum input parameters for the backtest result).
Phase 1:
The portfolio construction consists of 4 crypto assets:
- BTC
- ETH
- USDT
- PAXG
The percentage allocation changes at different dates depending on my own custom triggers and calculation algorithms in my google sheet.

Bonus work: can we replace ETH with "OTHERS2" on tradingview (for example) to backtest altcoins instead of just ETH? Or if we can't use an aggregated altcoin index like OTHERS2, perhaps is there a way to expand the portfolio to have multiple altcoins and not just ETH (eg to have more than the 4 assets outlined above).
Phase 2:
- Incorporate input variable optimisation to stress test different options and obtain the "best fit" combination based on input variables and defined value ranges.

I'm looking for someone to work with longer term on this project.
In order to be chosen for this task you'll need to:
1. You should have a strong background in software development
2. Ideally you have experience in crypto investing and/or have build applications dealing with crypto backtesting before
3. Demonstrate you know how to integrate with google sheets to pull data (phase 1 requirement) and manipulate cell data (phase 2 requirement)
4. Define what technologies and programming language(s) you'll be using to complete this project. I need to know this so I can understand how I will manage this ongoing and what level of support and maintenance I need from you).
5. Show me that you understand both phases of the task by explaining how you will approach and execute each phase.
If you're not confident in your ability with any of the above then please don't put yourself forward so we don't waste both of our time?
