Color-Exact Print Photos Background Removal
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I am reposting my project as I am steering in a different direction from using sketches to using real photos, plus I believe people were bidding without reading the full requirement of the project.
Project Overview:
I am launching an Australian transport merchandise brand.
I require professional background editing of 20 high-resolution transport photos (buses, ferries, light rail, trains), plus 4 maps layouts (line work, no text) of the network (bus, ferry, light rail, tram).
There will be a requirement for ongoing work to the right person, which may see between 5 to 10 images per fortnight.
These images will be used for:
Mugs
Shirts (dye sublimation)
Keyrings
Button badges
Drink coasters
Mousepads
Stubby coolers
Consistency and realism are critical.
Editing Requirements by Vehicle Type
Buses (Studio Style)
Precisely isolate bus from original photo
Preserve ALL original details (no redraws)
Maintain:
Fleet numbers
Destination displays
Registration plates
Panel lines
Window spacing
Remove background completely
Place on transparent background (no colour)
Add subtle realistic ground shadow (tyres grounded)
No distortion
No AI reconstruction
Ferries (Scenic Style)
Keep realistic harbour context
Clean distracting elements if needed
Extend water/sky naturally
Maintain geographic realism
No scale distortion
No “tourist postcard” oversaturation
Light Rail / Trains (Clean Corridor Style)
Preserve:
Tracks
Ballast
Sleepers
Overhead wiring
Pantograph
Remove:
Buildings
Fencing
Background clutter
Extend sky naturally
Slight brightness enhancement only
Maintain exact proportions and destination displays
Technical Output Requirements
300 DPI
Minimum 4000px longest edge
PNG format (transparent where applicable)
Colour profile suitable for sublimation print
No compression artefacts
No AI-generated redraws — must use original photo
Important Notes
These products are aimed at transport enthusiasts. Accuracy matters.
Incorrect fleet numbers, altered fonts, distorted proportions, or artificial AI reconstructions are unacceptable.
Deliverables
For each image:
Master full-size PNG
Cropped square version (for circular products)
I retain the legal rights to use these photos as I see fit, which will predominately be for printing onto substracts.
I require a sample from those bidding prior to awarding this contract. I will provide the same image to those showing genuine interest so that way no one thinks i'm just getting each of my catalouge photos for free.

“Will you manually mask or use AI auto cut?”
“Can you provide one sample before proceeding?”
“Do you use Photoshop pen tool for precision masking?”
Please note the price you are quoting is for the 20 images & 4 maps (not individual). I will provide all images upon awarding the contract.
