E-commerce Backend Development Needed

I’m building a full-featured online store that sells physical products and now need a backend specialist to turn the idea into a fast, secure, and easily maintainable reality. The frontend is being handled elsewhere; your focus will be everything server-side—from the database schema right through to the payment workflow.

Core requirements
• Product catalogue, inventory and order management endpoints
• Secure integration of Credit/Debit Card, PayPal and Bank Transfer gateways (PCI-DSS compliant practices expected)
• Cart, checkout, shipping and tax logic
• REST or GraphQL API that the React storefront can consume
• Admin dashboard for product uploads, promotions and basic analytics
• Clean, well-documented code with environment variables for keys and secrets

Stack preferences are flexible; Node.js + Express, Django, Laravel or a comparable framework are all acceptable so long as they support scalable architecture, automated testing and straightforward deployment to AWS or similar.

Please include a brief outline of the stack you’d choose, the payment libraries you’d rely on, and a rough milestone breakdown so I can gauge timelines. Ideally the first milestone covers database design and core endpoints, with payment integration following once data models are approved.
