We are seeking an experienced backend developer or team to build a robust and scalable backend system that enables businesses to seamlessly connect, manage, and automate their WhatsApp Business API communications. The primary goal is to develop the core API infrastructure and logic that will allow a separate frontend application (to be developed by our internal team) to interact with the WhatsApp Business API. Core Functionality & Requirements (Backend Focus):
WhatsApp Business API Connection via Facebook Login:
Develop backend API endpoints to facilitate the secure connection of WhatsApp Business API accounts using Facebook Login (OAuth).
Implement server-side logic to handle OAuth callbacks, token management, and secure storage of access tokens.
Upon successful authentication, the backend should automatically identify and connect to their associated WhatsApp Business Account and the linked phone number via Meta's Graph API.
The system must gracefully handle API permissions and connection status on the backend.
Existing Template Management (Backend API):
Develop backend API endpoints to fetch and manage all pre-approved WhatsApp Business API message templates associated with a connected user's account.
Implement logic to retrieve template details (e.g., name, category, language, content, approval status) from Meta's API.
Design and implement database schema for storing and caching template information.
New Template Creation & Submission (Backend API):
Develop backend API endpoints to receive new message template data from the frontend.
Implement server-side logic to construct and submit new WhatsApp Business API message templates to Meta for approval.
Develop mechanisms to track and update the approval status of submitted templates via webhooks or polling.
Implement backend validation for template content, variables, and component types (header, body, footer, buttons).
Templated Message Sending (Backend API):
Develop backend API endpoints to receive requests for sending templated messages.
Implement server-side logic to select an approved template, inject dynamic variables, and send it to specified WhatsApp numbers via Meta's API.
