Webapplication for manufacturing equipments inspectors

Currently inspectors go to different companies and record the status of different company equipment into their notebooks and after reaching back to the home they record the details into word documents in predefined formats.
Problem with current approach
Too much of time to prepare the documents
Information is getting lost
Not adhering to the document structure
