Voice-Based Restaurant Ordering MVP

I’m building a proof-of-concept mobile solution that lets waiters take table orders by speaking, then shows the confirmed requests to the kitchen in a concise dashboard. The goal is to demo the core workflow to investors rather than launch a full production product, so speed and functional clarity matter more than polish.
Core flow
• Waiter opens the app (iOS and Android) and taps an Order button.
• Google Cloud Speech-to-Text converts spoken items, quantities, and special instructions to text in real time.
• The waiter reviews the parsed order, edits if needed, and confirms.
• A lightweight kitchen display instantly receives the order, grouped by table, and lets staff move tickets through visual states: Received → In Progress → Completed.
Deliverables
1. Cross-platform waiter app built with a single codebase (React Native or Flutter—use whichever you’re fastest with).
2. Simple web or tablet-friendly kitchen screen that auto-updates and persists state while the session is active.
3. Minimal back-end or cloud functions to relay data between the two interfaces.
4. Short README and video walkthrough showing the voice capture, edit/confirm step, and status changes on the kitchen side.
Acceptance criteria
• Speech accuracy good enough to recognise common menu items in a demo setting.
• Order edits sync instantly to the kitchen view.
• Status changes reflect within two seconds across devices.
• Codebase builds successfully for both iOS and Android simulators.
Keep the UI basic; think wireframe-level. I just need stable functionality I can demo next month, so choose libraries you already know well and prioritise a clean, testable architecture over pixel-perfect design.
