Truck Route Validator Development for MVP

Job ID: 40054644

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

Backend Developer Needed for Truck Route Validator Web Service (MVP)

Project Description:

I am launching SafeTruckRoute.com, a web-based service for professional truck drivers to validate routes based on truck height, weight, width, and restricted roads. I currently have a landing page with email capture and a mockup of the route validator, but I need a backend developer to build the functional MVP.

The MVP should:

1. Accept a starting location, destination, and truck dimensions (height, weight, width).

2. Validate routes against truck-restricted roads, low-clearance bridges, and weight-limited roads using a mapping API (Google Maps, Geoapify, HERE Maps, or similar).

3. Return a simple safe/unsafe route message (like “Safe Route Found” or “Warning: Low Clearance Detected”).

4. Be integrable into an existing WordPress front-end page.

Optional features for consideration if budget allows:

Interactive map showing the route.

Paid subscription or access control.

Technical Requirements:

Backend languages: PHP, Node.js, or Python.

Experience with REST APIs and mapping services.

Ability to design simple database storage for truck restrictions or user inputs.

Experience integrating backend logic with WordPress front-end is a plus.

Deliverables:

1. Working backend code integrated with the WordPress front-end.

2. Documentation for future maintenance and updates.

3. Instructions for deployment on shared hosting.

Budget & Timeline:

Budget: $300–$700 for a simple MVP.

Timeline: 2–4 weeks.

I am open to proposals for longer-term collaboration or revenue-sharing models if you are interested in the project’s growth.

How to Apply:

Please provide:

1. Examples of similar projects you have done (preferably with mapping APIs and backend logic).

2. Your proposed approach to building this MVP.

3. Estimated timeline and cost.

Notes:

I am not tech-savvy, so clear communication and step-by-step guidance are essential.

The MVP does not need to be a fully polished product — functional and reliable is the goal.
