Senior/Principal Engineer for Long-term
Budget: $26 – $27 USD
I’m looking to work with senior, hands-on engineers as long-term implementation partners. This is not a beginner role and not a copy-paste job.
Work involves real production systems: backend services, APIs, data processing, system design, and fixing things when they break. You should be comfortable reading existing code, making architectural decisions, and explaining your thinking clearly. Speed matters, but clarity and ownership matter more.
I’m not looking for people who depend on AI to write code for them. AI can be used as an assistant, but you must understand the code deeply and be able to reason, debug, and explain without it. You are expected to use AI intelligently, not avoid it and not depend on it blindly. AI is a tool, not a brain replacement. You should know how to prompt it well, verify outputs, adapt results, and move faster because of it. If you can’t explain the code without looking back at AI, or you get stuck on small setup or workflow issues, this role will not work. Strong engineers use AI to amplify their thinking, not to substitute it.
Ideal background:
You have 6–10+ years of experience.
Strong in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, or backend-heavy work.
Comfortable with databases, async systems, and real-world edge cases.
Used to working remotely and communicating clearly.
You take responsibility instead of waiting for instructions.
This can turn into steady, long-term work if we work well together. I care about quality, honesty, and consistency. If you do good work, I make sure you’re treated fairly and paid reliably.
