Senior Backend Developer

As a freelance senior backend developer Full Stack Engineer you will have a direct impact on getting closer to the vision of a more emotionally competent business world.
You will join our Product and Tech team and be the responsible backend developer for our DeepSkill matching and personalization algorithm, that allows us to create learning journeys to our learners, that are tailored to their needs and preferences.
Your tasks:
Development of our matching and personalization engine (algorithm and containerized/server less deployment) for learners
Implementation, optimization and maintenance of new features on our proprietary platforms
Integration into our SaaS based learning management system (LMS) to offer our learner a seamless user experience – designing and developing the API based communication
Writing clean, tested, high quality, and well-performing code
Together with your team you own and drive every stage of a product’s lifecycle
Supporting the team in learning and leveraging our technology and tools
Writing automated tests
Together with the management team you develop our tech strategy and architecture
Your profile:
You have 3+ years professional backend developer experience, ideally in a startup environment
Favourable, you have worked with some of the leading learning management systems
You have good understanding of APIs written in either Node.JS, Go, Java/Kotlin, or Python, as well as experience with IaaS and PaaS features, e.g.deployment of workloads on AWS
You have been working with Git (e.g. GitHub, Bitbucket,…), Docker and favorable with Terraform before
You are experienced with testing and debugging backend apps
You would describe your work approach as solution-oriented
You enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team
You speak English on a fluent level
