Project overview
The current Demand Forecasting Tool (DFT) is mission-critical yet unstable; frequent crashes under load have made it impossible to scale. I’m replacing it entirely and need a production-ready version that is fast, resilient and 100 % correct in its domain outputs.

Fixed tech stack
You will inherit a fully defined stack and infrastructure playbook (shared after NDA). The stack is non-negotiable, so your team must be comfortable dropping straight into an existing repo, containerised workflow and CI/CD pipeline.

What you will build
1. Core architecture – refactor into a modular, horizontally scalable service layout.
2. Forecasting engine – port algorithms, guarantee deterministic results, expose REST & event streams.
3. Inventory / Purchase-Order module – real-time stock reconciliation tied to forecasts.
4. Audit trail – immutable ledger recording every calculation, state change and user action.
5. Data import pipeline – high-volume CSV/JSON ingests with validation and retry logic.

Week 1: Architecture spike & tech spec – 10 %
Week 2: Skeleton services & CI setup – 10 %
Week 3: Forecasting engine alpha – 10 %
Week 4: Inventory/PO module alpha – 10 %
Week 5: Audit trail integration – 15 %
Week 6: Data import pipeline – 15 %
Week 7: Full system hardening, load tests – 15 %
