Chrome Extension for Job Application Automation

We are building a job application automation system centered around a Chrome browser extension that auto-fills job applications across ATS platforms (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, LinkedIn, etc.). The extension will integrate with our website backend to securely fetch user profile and resume data and complete applications efficiently.

Focuses primarily on extension development and backend APIs that power autofill.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain a Chrome extension (Manifest v3) using TypeScript

Implement DOM-based form detection and autofill logic for job portals

Handle multi-step job application workflows and validations

Design backend APIs to fetch user profile, resume, and application data

Integrate extension with website authentication and user data services

Ensure security, rate limiting, and human-like interaction behavior

Support new ATS platforms by adding site-specific handlers

Required Skills

Strong JavaScript / TypeScript

Hands-on experience with Chrome Extensions

Advanced DOM manipulation and browser automation

Backend development with Node.js or Python (FastAPI preferred)

REST API design and secure data handling

Experience working with third-party websites or dynamic forms

Nice to Have

Experience with ATS platforms (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Taleo)

Resume parsing or document processing

OpenAI / LLM API integration for answering questions

Cloud experience (AWS / GCP)
