Build Robust E-Commerce Backend System

I’m launching a new e-commerce site and need an experienced back-end developer to handle everything that happens behind the scenes. The core of the project is a clean, well-documented API and database layer that powers three must-have features: a fully functional shopping cart, a user-review system, and order-tracking workflows.

Here’s how I picture the scope:
• Design the data model for products, customers, orders, and reviews, choosing the stack you work fastest with (Node.js, Django, Laravel, or similar).
• Build secure endpoints that let the front-end add items to cart, calculate totals, create orders, store ratings, and surface real-time order status.
• Implement authentication so registered customers can track purchases, while still allowing guest checkouts if we decide to add them later.
• Write concise README or Swagger/OpenAPI docs so any front-end or mobile developer can plug in immediately.
• Include automated tests that cover the critical cart and order paths.

Done right, I’ll receive:
1. Source code in a Git repo with clear commits.
2. A populated staging database or seed scripts.
3. API documentation and test suite.
4. Deployment notes for my preferred cloud host (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.).
