Backend Feature Development & Integration

I’m upgrading an existing website and the first priority is strengthening its backend functionality. I need a developer who can dive into the current code-base, map out what’s already there, and then implement new features, integrate third-party APIs, fine-tune database interactions, and chase down any lingering bugs.

The stack is flexible—if you’re most comfortable in Node.js, PHP, Python, or a comparable framework, bring your best practices and I’ll adapt on my side. Front-end pieces in Next.js / React may follow later, so a full-stack mindset is welcome, but the immediate deliverables revolve around backend logic, performance, and reliability.
