Backend Engineer (Data Pipeline & Scoring Engine)

We’re an early-stage startup building a candidate sourcing and ranking tool.
We need a strong backend engineer to help us build the core engine that collects LinkedIn data, normalizes it, and scores candidate profiles based on configurable rules.

What you'll do:
- Build a data ingestion pipeline to collect and clean LinkedIn profile data.
- Implement a deterministic scoring system (rule + weight based).
- Create a simple, maintainable backend (ideally in Python) with clean APIs.
- Store structured data in a database (SQL or NoSQL).
- Ensure the system is modular, secure, and easy to adjust without heavy dev work.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in backend development (3+ years preferred).
- Strong Python skills (or similar language).
- Experience with web scraping / data extraction (especially LinkedIn).
- Familiarity with databases and building APIs.
- Good communication and ability to work independently.

Nice to have:
- Experience with ranking, scoring, or recommendation systems.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks (scikit-learn, etc.).
- Experience deploying on AWS/GCP or similar cloud platforms.
