Backend Deployment & API Specialist
Budget: ₹400 – ₹750 INR
I’m looking for a part-time backend engineer who can take full ownership of our infrastructure so the rest of the team can stay focussed on product features. The web application is already taking shape on the frontend; what I need now is someone who can make sure everything behind the scenes is rock-solid, secure and ready to scale.
First priorities
• Deploy the existing codebase to the cloud, set up domains, SSL and separate staging / production environments.
• Design the database schema, create migrations and establish reliable backup / restore procedures.
• Expose clean, well-documented APIs that connect the frontend to our AI services.
• Implement authentication, role-based access control and other security basics.
• Put monitoring and alerting in place so we can catch errors before our users do.
Ongoing work
Once the core pieces are in place I’ll rely on you for performance tuning, reliability improvements, CI/CD pipeline upkeep and any new backend features the project demands. We’re flexible on the specific cloud provider and tech stack as long as you can justify the choice and deliver a maintainable setup.
Deliverables will be accepted when:
1. The app is live at the provided domain with separate staging / production.
2. Database operations run without errors and data survives restarts.
3. API endpoints return expected results and are covered by basic tests.
4. Security checks pass an external scan and no critical CVEs remain.
5. Monitoring dashboards and alerts demonstrate uptime and error tracking.
