Renewable Oil Sales & Acquisition

Job ID: 40325281

Budget: $8 – $15 USD

I represent ROIL Renewable Oil Company and I’m ready to hand the front line of our growth over to a driven sales professional. The job is equal parts B2C and B2B: homeowners need clean, renewable oil solutions while businesses require a dependable supplier they can trust. Your core tools will be direct, proactive outreach and the strategic partnerships you forge with local operations—oil-change shops, tyre retailers, DOT facilities, and automotive repair centers are prime targets.

You’ll manage the full cycle: research prospects, initiate contact, qualify, present, and close, then nurture the relationship so it sticks. Cold calls, on-site visits, networking breakfasts—whatever converts ethically is fair game.

Deliverables
• Weekly pipeline report covering leads contacted, active negotiations, and newly closed residential and commercial accounts.
• Minimum of 5 qualified residential leads + 3 partnership meetings secured per week in the first month.
• End-of-month summary with insights, wins, and next-step plan.

A background in sustainable energy, automotive services, or any quota-based sales environment will help you ramp faster. Consistent CRM use, crisp English communication, and a flair for relationship-building are essential.

When you reply, give me one concrete example of a cold outreach or local partnership you built and the measurable result it delivered. I’m selecting quickly and will supply our pricing, product deck, and onboarding guide so you can start closing straight away.

POSITION OVERVIEW
ROIL (Renewable Oil Company) is a regulated used‑oil collection and recycling company operating under EPA and state environmental standards. ROIL provides compliant, no‑hassle used‑oil collection services to residential generators, independent automotive shops, fleets, municipalities, and light industrial customers.
The Outsourced Sales & Client Acquisition Representative is responsible for generating, qualifying, and onboarding new residential and commercial customers into ROIL’s collection network, using approved scripts, pricing structures, and compliance‑safe processes.
This role is sales‑focused only. All regulatory compliance, oil handling, routing, and service execution are managed by ROIL operations.

ROLE OBJECTIVES (WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE)
The primary objective of this role is to increase route density and monthly oil volume by signing high‑quality, compliant customer accounts that fit ROIL’s operational and regulatory model.
Success is measured by:

Number of signed, qualified accounts
Quality and retention of customers
Route density improvement
Accuracy and compliance of onboarding documentation

This is not a high‑pressure commission sales role. ROIL prioritizes long‑term customers, compliance integrity, and brand reputation over short‑term volume.

TARGET CUSTOMER TYPES
Residential

Homeowners performing DIY oil changes
Multi‑family buildings with shared oil collection points
HOA or community drop‑off programs (where permitted)

Commercial

Independent auto repair shops
Quick‑lube and tire service shops
Small fleets (landscapers, HVAC, plumbing, delivery)
Used car dealerships
Municipal or quasi‑municipal facilities (where allowed)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

Identify and approach potential residential and commercial customers within assigned territory
Conduct in‑person visits, phone outreach, and follow‑ups
Educate prospects on ROIL’s service model, compliance benefits, and reliability
Focus on route‑friendly, recurring oil generators

2. Sales Conversations & Qualification

Use ROIL‑approved sales scripts and talking points
Accurately explain:

What used oil is
Why compliance matters
What ROIL does and does NOT do

Qualify prospects based on:

Estimated oil volume
Access and storage conditions
Pickup cadence
Location viability for routing

Sales reps must not promise:

Special pricing
Cash payments
Free equipment without approval
Guaranteed pickup schedules without ops confirmation

3. Account Onboarding

Collect required onboarding information:

Legal business name
Address and access details
Primary contact
Approximate oil volumes
Storage container type

Submit accurate onboarding forms to ROIL
Ensure customers understand:

Pickup expectations
Proper oil storage rules
Prohibited materials

All contracts and service agreements are issued and executed by ROIL, not the sales representative.

4. Brand & Compliance Integrity

Represent ROIL’s brand, professionalism, and compliance standards at all times
Never provide regulatory advice beyond approved talking points
Immediately flag potential compliance concerns to ROIL operations
Avoid accounts that present contamination, illegal dumping, or regulatory risk

Sales reps are brand stewards, not just closers.

5. Reporting & Communication

Maintain accurate records of:

Leads contacted
Accounts signed
Accounts lost or declined
Territory feedback

Communicate consistently with ROIL sales and operations leadership
Participate in periodic performance and territory reviews

PERFORMANCE METRICS
Typical performance benchmarks (may vary by territory):

Commercial accounts signed: 8–15/month
Residential accounts signed: 20–40/month
Average oil volume per commercial account: 40–150 gallons/month
Account retention after 90 days: ≥90%

Quality and retention matter more than raw volume.

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE (OUTSOURCED MODEL)
ROIL typically compensates outsourced sales partners through one or more of the following (determined by contract):

Per‑account signup fee
Per‑gallon production bonus (limited duration)
Tiered performance incentives by territory
Revenue‑share during initial account ramp‑up

No cash‑for‑oil arrangements. No under‑the‑table incentives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required

Proven B2B and/or residential service sales experience
Comfortable with in‑person and cold outreach
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to follow defined sales and compliance processes
Professional demeanor representing a regulated company

Preferred

Experience in automotive, environmental services, logistics, or utilities
Familiarity with route‑based businesses
Understanding of small business operations
Prior compliance‑adjacent sales experience

PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES (ZERO‑TOLERANCE)
The following will result in immediate termination of relationship:

Promising cash payments for oil
Collecting oil personally
Handling oil or containers
Misrepresenting ROIL’s compliance status
Signing or altering contracts independently
Diverting accounts or oil to third parties

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS AT ROIL
ROIL is building route density, regulatory trust, and scalable infrastructure, not just a sales pipeline. Every account signed impacts:

Operational efficiency
Compliance exposure
Franchise value
Brand credibility

This role directly shapes ROIL’s long‑term success.

POSITION SUMMARY (ONE‑LINE VERSION)

The ROIL Outsourced Sales & Client Acquisition Representative builds compliant, long‑term residential and commercial customer relationships that power ROIL’s route density, operational scale, and national growth.
