Tunnel state between Azure and Cisco ASA

I have a tunnel between azure and cisco ASA that has been up, but a few hours ago, the tunnel connection in azure says "connecting" i am thinking this because of there was no continuous traffic over the tunnel so it remains up.
I would like to set up something that will always keep the tunnel up
may be setting up IP SLA to keep this tunnel up will work?
