Project Description
I need an experienced system administrator / DevOps engineer to design, build, and demonstrate a complete Server Monitoring and SIEM solution in a cloud-based environment.
This is NOT a simple installation task. The work must follow a structured, enterprise-style implementation with proper architecture, documentation, and demonstration.
Scope of Work
Design the System Architecture
Multi-layered architecture (monitoring + SIEM + supporting services)
Clear logical and deployment diagrams
Include components such as:
Monitoring server (e.g., Zabbix / Nagios / Prometheus)
SIEM system (e.g., Wazuh / ELK Stack / Splunk)
Log collection agents
Database layer
Active Directory, DNS
Build the Full System (Azure)
Deploy multiple Virtual Machines (NOT a single VM)
Configure a LAN environment between VMs
Install and configure all components manually (no pre-built stacks like XAMPP, Docker images, or appliances)
Ensure servers are actively monitored and generating logs
Monitoring & SIEM Implementation
Collect logs from multiple servers
Detect events (e.g., login attempts, errors, suspicious activity)
Configure dashboards and alerts
Show real monitoring data
Testing & Demonstration
Prove the system works:
Monitoring metrics
Log collection
Alerts / event detection
Access system from a client machine within the same network
Video Demonstration (IMPORTANT)
Record a clear walkthrough (8–10 minutes) showing:
System design
Build process (key steps)
Features working in real-time
Include explanation (voice or captions)
Critical Requirements
Must use multiple virtual machines, not a single server
Must simulate a real enterprise environment (LAN setup)
Must NOT use ready-made solutions (no Docker images, no preconfigured stacks)
Must show actual monitoring of servers, not just installation
Must include architecture diagrams + working demo
Deliverables
System architecture diagrams (PNG or PDF)
Fully working Azure setup
Step-by-step documentation
Recorded demo video (8–10 minutes)
Screenshots / proof of functionality
