Senior Systems Architect - Google Workspace & Microsoft 365 Systems Expert

ABOUT US:
We’re looking for a high-level systems expert who thrives in the weeds and takes full ownership of both Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 (Entra ID). This is not a support role. This is for someone who knows how to build, integrate, and optimize cloud environments from the ground up — someone who can architect, automate, and lead without waiting to be told what to do. You’ll serve as the primary force aligning our identity and productivity ecosystems across platforms, creating a seamless and secure experience company-wide. You will be given full latitude to make it world-class.
What You’ll Own:
*Architect and integrate Google Workspace and Microsoft Entra ID into a unified, secure, and high-performance environment.
*Build and implement federated identity systems, SSO, and cross-platform access policies using SAML, SCIM, OAuth, OpenID Connect, etc.
*Lead automation initiatives for user lifecycle management, access governance, and infrastructure optimization.
*Manage email coexistence and routing between Gmail and Outlook, ensuring bulletproof deliverability and redundancy.
*Enforce zero-trust security, including multi-factor authentication, conditional access policies, and endpoint compliance across platforms.
*Write and maintain advanced scripts and workflows using PowerShell, Google Apps Script, and REST APIs.
*Drive platform standardization, documentation, and best practices across departments.
*Monitor, analyze, and continuously improve system performance, security posture, and user experience.
*Operate autonomously and take initiative — you’ll be the go-to authority for all things Workspace and Microsoft identity.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a systems administrator or architect in complex environments.
- Expert-level knowledge of Google Workspace Admin and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Proven experience integrating both platforms in a secure, scalable production environment
- Mastery of identity management, including role-based access control (RBAC), security groups, and conditional access policies.
- Deep familiarity with federation protocols: SAML, SCIM, OAuth, OpenID Connect.
- Strong scripting and automation experience in PowerShell, Apps Script, Python, or related.
- Solid understanding of email security and delivery protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX routing).
- Strategic thinking + hands-on implementation: you can design, build, and own the system end-to-end.
- Ability to work without micromanagement — you identify problems and fix them before anyone asks.
