Intune Print Server Deployment
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I’m looking for help getting a shared print-server queue deployed to our Azure AD-joined Windows PCs through Intune. The goal is device-based deployment, so anyone who signs in can immediately see and use the printer—no user-by-user mapping.
Environment details
• Windows PCs only, all Azure AD joined
• Printer lives on our on-prem print server (not a direct IP queue)
• Deployment must run automatically; users should not have to add the printer themselves
What I need from you
1. A tested Intune configuration (PowerShell script, Win32 app, or Printer Provisioning policy—whichever is most reliable) that:
• Installs the shared printer during device check-in
• Makes the queue available system-wide, not per user
2. Clear, concise deployment steps so I can upload and assign the policy to future devices without rework
3. Brief rollback/removal instructions in case we have to retire or replace the printer
I already have admin access to Intune and the print server; you’ll get the share path and any credentials needed for testing. A quick proof on one pilot device followed by concise documentation will be considered complete delivery.
