Title: Hiring Grafana Expert to Design Dashboards Using Azure Application Insights
Project Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Grafana expert to help us build insightful, interactive, and well-structured dashboards by consuming telemetry data from Azure Application Insights. The goal is to visualize application performance, request trends, exception rates, and custom metrics in a user-friendly format for internal stakeholders.
Scope of Work:
Integrate Azure Application Insights with Grafana.
Design and implement custom dashboards based on our monitoring needs.
Configure queries to fetch and display relevant logs, metrics, and traces.
Implement filtering, alerting, and time-range selectors where applicable.
Suggest best practices for dashboard structuring and performance monitoring.
Provide basic documentation or walkthrough of the created dashboards.
Requirements:
Proven experience in working with Grafana and dashboard creation.
Strong understanding of Azure Application Insights and KQL (Kusto Query Language).
Ability to build visualizations like graphs, tables, heatmaps, etc.
Experience in setting up alerts and integrating with external notification systems (Slack, Teams, Email, etc.) is a plus.
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with our technical team.
Deliverables:
At least 3 well-structured, performance-focused Grafana dashboards based on Azure App Insights data.
Query configurations used for each panel/visualization.
Optional: Alerting setup and documentation for long-term maintenance.
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
Grafana Cloud or self-hosted Grafana configuration experience.
Previous work with .NET Core apps and Application Insights telemetry (not mandatory, but helpful).
Timeline:
We are looking to get the initial dashboards up within 2-3 weeks, with possibility for future iterations based on feedback.
