Comprehensive Remote Configuration Management Needed
Budget: £5 – £10 GBP
Freelancer Required – Configuration Management Support (IT / SCADA / Cloud Environments)
We are looking for an experienced Configuration Management Specialist to assist in establishing and supporting configuration management processes tailored to our project environment.
Duration: Initially 4 months (extendable based on project progress)
Engagement: Daily connect (1–2 hours per day, Monday–Friday)
Mode: Remote collaboration
Responsibilities:
Assist in defining and customizing the Configuration Management approach based on the project landscape (CNI and non-CNI environments).
Support the development and maintenance of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and environment records.
Help in establishing governance, version control, and environment consistency frameworks.
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, Excel reports/macros, and data visualization tools for configuration tracking.
Integrate configuration reporting and workflows using ServiceNow or equivalent tools.
Participate in daily touchpoints to review progress, identify blockers, and align deliverables with the project roadmap.
Preferred Skills:
Strong background in Configuration / Environment / Release Management.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB, Power BI, and Excel automation (macros, pivot, slicers).
Familiarity with Azure / GCP / Terraform or similar cloud-based infrastructure environments.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, or SCADA-based systems (preferred but not mandatory).
Excellent communication and documentation skills for collaboration and daily status discussions.
