Comprehensive Community Website Design
Budget: £250 – £750 GBP
My project encompasses creating a website for my parish council which will serve as an all-encompassing information hub.
Key functionalities and features include:
- Detailing about the council's work and compliant with regulations.
- Displaying upcoming events. The developer should implement a dynamic calendar system, ideally able to link to other local organisations' calendars, and able to download events into personal diaries (eg outlook and apple).
- Providing resources and downloads related to the council's work. The site should have a comfortable space for visitors to learn more about our work.
- Incorporating self-subscribing email lists, for newsletters, updates on events and volunteer opportunities - ideally with links to an SQL database.
- Enabling document downloads.
- Booking facilities for events with options
I seek a web developer with a strong background in Wordpress and its linked resources. Familiarity with sites based on local government and community organisations is a bonus. An understanding and implementation of standard best practices for accessibility and user-friendly design is mandatory.
Ideally, we also want sub-sites which link to other domains (eg for other local community organisations).
It is important that simple parts of the site can be maintained by our inexperienced staff but that you or other Wordpress specialists can do more complex work for us - ie the finished site will belong to us and not use any proprietary resources that we cannot access.
No direct telephone enquiries please.
