Azure SQL Setup & Migration

I need an experienced Azure specialist to provision and configure a fresh Azure SQL Database for my current website code. Right now the site runs on a regular SQL Server instance; I’m unsure whether the existing data must be moved or recreated, so I’ll look to you for guidance on the most reliable path forward.

The database’s role is straightforward—solid, fast data storage and retrieval for a live production app. You’ll handle the full setup inside the Azure portal, set the correct performance tier, secure it with firewall rules and proper authentication, generate the connection string, and make sure the site connects without hiccups. If we do identify an existing database worth migrating, you’ll take charge of exporting, importing, and validating the data.

Deliverables will be:
• A working Azure SQL Database configured to best-practice standards
• Updated connection details wired into my website code (Git repo access supplied)
• Clear, step-by-step notes on what you did so I can maintain it going forward
