Azure SQL to SQL 2019 Restoration from Bacpac file
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have a live Azure SQL Database and I need its contents restored onto my own SQL Server 2019 instance so I can run day-to-day transactional queries locally. The job covers the full extraction from Azure, transfer, and successful restore or import into my on-prem/VM SQL Server 2019 environment.
Focus
• Use whichever method you find most reliable—native backup, BACPAC/DACPAC, Azure Data Factory, SSMS Import/Export—so long as every row and relationship arrives intact.
• The restored copy must open in Management Studio 18+ with all tables, primary/foreign keys, and constraints ready for immediate SELECT/INSERT/UPDATE activity.
• I do not need special Azure-side configurations preserved; the priority is simply accessing the transactional data without loss or corruption.
Deliverable
A restored SQL Server 2019 database file (or direct restore into my server) plus any scripts or step-by-step notes required to repeat the process later. Once I can query the data and confirm row counts match Azure, the job is done.
