Freelance Azure DevOps Engineer – Azure Takeover & Migration Project
We are looking for a senior-level Azure DevOps / Cloud Engineer to help with a large Azure project takeover from a previous vendor and potentially lead or support tenant/subscription ownership transfer and migration.
This is not a basic setup task. We need someone with real production experience in Azure environments, especially in scenarios where projects are transferred between vendors, partners, or tenants.

Scope of work
• Analyze existing Azure setup (tenant, subscriptions, billing model, access)
• Support or lead Azure ownership takeover
• Advise and execute on:
• Tenant vs subscription separation
• CSP / partner billing constraints
• Security and access restructuring
• Plan and possibly execute:
• Tenant-to-tenant or subscription-to-subscription migrations
• Identity, RBAC, and governance redesign
• Ensure clean handover from previous team
• Produce clear technical documentation and migration plan

Required experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Proven work with:
• Azure Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, PIM
• Subscription and tenant management
• Azure migrations / takeovers
• Experience with CSP / partner-based subscriptions is a big plus
• Solid knowledge of:
• Networking (VNet, peering, VPN, firewall)
• Security (Key Vault, Defender, logging)
• Production workloads (VM, AKS, App Services, databases)
• Able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience with compliance-driven environments (GDPR, ISO, SOC2, etc.)
• Terraform or Bicep experience
• Previous “vendor-to-vendor” or “cloud divorce” projects
