Optimize & Secure AWS Infrastructure

Job ID: 39795406

Budget: £250 – £750 GBP

I need an experienced AWS engineer to take over the ongoing care of my existing cloud environment. The immediate focus is four-fold: keep every EC2 instance patched and healthy, fine-tune RDS performance and backups, tighten IAM and security group rules, and then squeeze as much speed and cost-efficiency from the stack as possible.

Here’s what the engagement will look like from my side:

• Server maintenance – regular OS updates, instance right-sizing, CloudWatch alarms that actually matter, and swift recovery if anything misbehaves.
• Database management – performance tuning, automated snapshots, and parameter tweaks for both transactional and reporting workloads.
• Security configuration – least-privilege IAM, encrypted storage everywhere it counts, and periodic vulnerability reviews.
• Efficiency & speed improvements – leverage Autoscaling, Savings Plans, or architectural tweaks so usage and spend stay lean without sacrificing performance.

Everything is already running in AWS, so I expect you to be comfortable with the console, AWS CLI, and Infrastructure-as-Code approaches such as CloudFormation or Terraform when needed. Once on board, you’ll review the current setup, propose a prioritized action plan, and then execute it in stages. I’ll consider the work complete when monitoring dashboards show stable, fast services and security scans come back clean.

If that sounds straightforward to you, let’s talk timing and get started.
