We’re seeking an experienced technical engineer to manage healthcare EDI integrations, claims platform operations, AWS file transfers, automation, and SQL-driven troubleshooting. This customer-facing role requires hands-on AWS (Transfer Family, S3, Lambda), deep EDI knowledge (834, 835, 837, 270/271, 276/277, 999), MS SQL, scripting (Python/PowerShell/Bash), and platform administration.
Key responsibilities
- Implement, validate, and maintain EDI transactions and mappings; troubleshoot loop/segment failures.
- Manage daily claims/eligibility file processing, ingestion, transformations, and exports.
- Administer claims platform: jobs, services, access, patches, monitoring, and incident response.
- Configure and support AWS SFTP (Transfer Family), S3, and Lambda-based processing.
- Build and maintain automation scripts; identify process improvement opportunities.
- Assist ETL/data migrations (preferred: AWS Glue/DataBrew) and support audits/DR testing.
- Lead technical onboarding and collaborate with vendors and clients.
Requirements
- 4–7 years IT operations/systems engineering; 2+ years platform support.
- 2+ years healthcare EDI technical support (payers/TPAs).
- 2+ years hands-on AWS (SFTP/Transfer Family, S3, Lambda).
- Strong MS SQL skills; advanced query and reconciliation experience.
- Proficient in Python, PowerShell or Bash.
- Familiar with HIPAA, secure file transfer, and clearinghouse integrations.
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred
- ETL experience with AWS Glue/DataBrew.
- FHIR API experience and RESTful API development.
