Amazon Connect SIP Trunk Setup
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I need a full Amazon Connect configuration that lets my team place and receive calls through a SIP trunk. The goal is to have both inbound and outbound calling working smoothly on our IP phones and softphones.
I’m not even sure whether an existing Amazon Connect instance is in place, so the engagement starts with confirming if one already exists in our AWS account and, if not, spinning up a fresh instance with best-practice settings. From there, I’ll rely on you to:
• Create or verify the Amazon Connect instance, including telephony, routing profiles and user permissions.
• Provision and test the SIP trunk so inbound DIDs reach the correct queues and outbound calls present the correct caller-ID.
• Configure the trunk on both our desk-based IP phones and the softphone clients we use internally.
• Document the steps, AWS resources used, and any firewall/NAT rules required so we can replicate or troubleshoot the setup later.
Acceptance criteria
• Agents can answer external calls from both device types without audio issues.
• Outbound calls complete with the proper caller-ID and meet Amazon Connect dialing rules.
• A concise deployment document covers all credentials, AWS service IDs, and device settings applied.
Please base the work on standard AWS and SIP-compliant tooling; no proprietary solutions. I’m available to supply any account details or test numbers you need as soon as we begin.
