AWS EC2 & Lambda Setup-One-time AWS server setup & deployment

I need a complete cloud-based environment built on Amazon Web Services. The core of the job is to provision and configure the compute layer—primarily EC2 instances and serverless functions on AWS Lambda—so that my application can scale reliably and remain cost-efficient.

Scope of work
• Design the overall architecture: network layout (VPC, subnets, security groups), IAM roles/policies, and routing that follows AWS best practices.
• Spin up and harden EC2 instances, setting up OS, packages, and automated patching.
• Create and deploy Lambda functions behind an API Gateway where serverless execution makes sense.
• Implement monitoring and logging through CloudWatch so I can track performance and receive alerts.
• Provide concise runbooks or Terraform/CloudFormation scripts that let me reproduce the stack in another region if needed.

Although my immediate requirement is compute, I’m open to your advice on adding S3, RDS, or other AWS services later if they tighten the architecture or reduce costs.

Deliverables
1. AWS account set up with the components above running in my region of choice.
2. Written deployment scripts or templates and a short hand-off session so I can manage the environment on my own.
