AWS Datadog monitor Alert Setup

Job ID: 39793494

Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR

I need a AWS Lambda function listening to a SqS event and on event send a a JSON to Datadog.

The Lambda emits three key event types—record insertions, error logs, and transaction completions—and I want Datadog to watch them in real time.

Scope
• Wire the Lambda output to Datadog Logs using the recommended forwarder or a custom HTTPS integration.
• Configure processing so each JSON message is parsed into useful attributes (e.g., txn_id, rows_inserted, duration, status).
• Build a Datadog monitor that emails set people and runs a script that i will give, can just have hello world now, whenever the number of rows inserted in the latest transaction falls below 30 % of the average across the previous five transactions.
• Add additional monitors less transaction completions in last 30 minutes window, so we can spot anomalies quickly.
* One existing microservice it's logs have to be sent to my Datadog account
• Verify the end-to-end flow with a short test: trigger the Lambda, see the messages arrive in Datadog, and confirm that an alert fires under the specified threshold.

Acceptance criteria
1. Messages appear in Datadog within seconds of Lambda invocation.
2. JSON attributes display correctly in the Explorer.
3. The 30 % drop monitor sends an email on the first qualifying test event.
4. Separate alerts exist for error logs and transaction completions with sensible default thresholds that I can tweak.
