AWS CDN & EC2 Optimization

Job ID: 39716326

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

My application runs on AWS behind a CloudFront distribution and an EC2 origin, but asset delivery has become noticeably slow. Page-load waterfalls show high TTFB, missed cache hits, and occasional 5xx bursts. At the same time I’ve discovered overly permissive access rules around the EC2 instance, so I need the access controls tightened without breaking legitimate traffic.

What I need you to do
• Trace and remove the performance bottlenecks in the current CDN path—cache-behaviour tweaks, proper TTLs, compression, HTTP/2, and any origin settings that are holding the edge back.
• Review and harden access to the EC2 instance: security groups, NACLs, IAM roles and policies, key-based SSH, and any other layer that affects who can reach the box.
• Hand over a concise report showing the before-and-after metrics, the exact CloudFront and EC2 changes made, and any follow-up maintenance steps I should schedule.
