AWS Auto-Scaling Setup Guidance
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I’m ready to introduce auto scaling into my AWS environment and need hands-on, expert help getting it right the first time. The immediate goal is to set up auto scaling from scratch for a web application that runs on both EC2 instances and an RDS backend.
Here’s what I need from you:
• Review my current architecture and recommend the most suitable scaling strategy for EC2 and RDS.
• Configure launch templates, target groups, and scaling policies tied to CloudWatch alarms so the web tier scales predictably under load.
• Enable and tune RDS Auto Scaling (read replicas or storage) so database capacity grows in step with traffic.
• Implement health checks, graceful instance termination, and lifecycle hooks to keep deployments zero-downtime.
• Provide concise documentation and a walkthrough so I can understand, maintain, and extend the setup on my own.
I already have the AWS account and basic resources up and running; I just need your direction, advice, and implementation skills to add robust auto scaling. If you’ve successfully built similar solutions, especially for traffic-spiky web apps, I’d love to see how you can streamline mine.
