AV Cabling Installation – Nuneaton
Budget: £1,500 – £3,000 GBP
I need two experienced first-fix audio-visual cabling engineers on site in Nuneaton from this coming Monday for a straight five-day run. The project is a completely new installation that will serve a conference-room environment, so all cabling routes must be laid with future-proof capacity for projector feeds, video-conferencing, sound reinforcement and control lines, even though only the cable infrastructure is being delivered at this stage.
Scope of work
• Read the layout drawings and confirm cable paths with me on day one.
• Pull, label and dress all CAT-, HDMI-, speaker- and control-grade cables through containment we have already installed.
• Terminate to patch panels and floor boxes where specified, leaving enough service loop for second-fix.
• Complete continuity and insulation tests, record results and hand over the test sheets before you leave site Friday afternoon.
All tools, test gear and fixings for first-fix should be your own; all cable drums and connectors are on site. The building is a commercial office, so CSCS/ECS and full PPE are mandatory for access. Work hours are 08:00-16:30, but there is some flexibility if extra time is needed to finish testing.
