Energetic Short-Form Video Editing
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I’m looking for an experienced video editor to create a high-energy, cinematic surf-style edit from a collection of raw clips I’ve filmed. The goal is to produce a polished, engaging video that captures the vibe of surf culture—fluid motion, vibrant colors, and a dynamic soundtrack.
The final edit should have smooth transitions, creative pacing, and a cohesive aesthetic that fits the surf lifestyle. This will involve selecting the best shots, color grading to achieve a warm, natural yet cinematic tone, and syncing cuts to the beat of the music.
Scope of Work:
• Review and organize provided raw footage (surfing, ocean shots, lifestyle clips, etc.).
• Select and sequence clips for maximum impact and storytelling flow.
• Apply professional color grading with a surf-inspired look (warm tones, natural blues, sunlit highlights).
• Add music (either royalty-free or licensed) that complements the energy and vibe.
• Sync cuts and transitions to match the rhythm and feel of the soundtrack.
• Incorporate slow motion, speed ramps, or other stylistic effects where appropriate.
• Deliver final edit in 1080p and 4K formats.
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Proven experience editing surf, action sports, or lifestyle videos (please provide portfolio links).
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Strong storytelling ability and sense of pacing.
• Skilled in color correction and grading for outdoor/ocean environments.
• Ability to work with both action shots and lifestyle footage.
• Knowledge of audio syncing and soundtrack integration.
• Reliable communication and ability to meet agreed deadlines.
Preferred Experience:
• Prior work with surf brands, lifestyle content creators, or outdoor sports.
• Familiarity with GoPro or action camera footage and stabilization techniques.
• Understanding of surf culture and visual trends in surf media.
