Dallas R&B Concert Lighting Design
Budget: $3,000 – $5,000 USD
A dynamic, colorful lighting scheme will set the mood for an upcoming R&B/pop concert in Dallas, Texas. The venue centers on a single main stage framed by scenic elements, and the design must keep performers vividly lit while driving audience energy.
Key focus areas
• Main stage – crisp front-of-house wash, side fills, and movement cues that follow choreography.
• Backdrop and scenic pieces – saturated color looks and pixel-mapped effects that complement the visuals without stealing focus.
Scope of work
– Produce a detailed lighting plot with fixture list, patch, and power requirements that can be sourced from common Dallas rental inventories (e.g., Chauvet Rogue, Martin MAC Aura, comparable LED beams/spots).
– Program beat-matched transitions, smooth color sweeps, and tasteful strobe hits tied to musical peaks, delivered as a time-coded show file for MA3, Hog 4, or Onyx.
– Supply a one-page cue synopsis for the stage manager.
– Be on site for load-in, focus, rehearsal, and show call; strike support is included.
– Provide up to two revision rounds during pre-production.
Preferred sharing formats are Vectorworks, Capture, WYSIWYG, or similar; an initial concept is needed within seven days of award, with the event itself taking place in the next six weeks. Experience with live R&B or pop acts and a proven eye for vibrant, audience-engaging looks will ensure a smooth collaboration and a standout show.
