Chamber Concert Sound & Lighting

Job ID: 39914471

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m organizing a series of three intimate chamber-music evenings on the third Thursday of January, February and March. Each performance will welcome fewer than forty guests, so clarity of sound and a warm, inviting atmosphere matter far more than sheer volume.

Here’s what I need from you:

• Complete venue management on show days, focusing on professional-level sound reinforcement and sympathetic lighting that flatters acoustic string and wind instruments.
• Turn-key setup and strike on each date, including any cabling, mixing desk, microphones or discreet PA appropriate for live chamber music.
• Quiet, flicker-free lighting that highlights the performers while keeping audience sight-lines clear and maintaining an intimate ambience.

Load-in can begin mid-afternoon; doors open at 6:30 pm and the concert runs roughly 7:00–8:15 pm with one brief pause. I will handle chairs, programmes and artist hospitality; your scope is strictly the technical side and on-site management of it. If you can supply the equipment as well as operate it during the performances, even better—let me know in your proposal.

After each show I expect a swift, unobtrusive strike that leaves the space as we found it. Please outline the gear you’ll bring, your experience with small acoustic ensembles, and any recommendations for maximizing the natural sound of the room.
