I’m taking delivery of a brand-new vehicle in Shillong, Meghalaya and want a thorough pre-delivery inspection carried out at the dealership before I sign any paperwork. The job is to examine the exterior condition, mechanical systems, and interior condition in detail, flagging even the smallest blemish, fitment issue, or functional fault that could be overlooked during the hand-over rush.
I haven’t decided whether a brief test drive will be necessary, so please let me know what you recommend once you see the on-site constraints—some dealers allow a short loop outside the gate, others don’t.
