Medium/Large Boat Electrical System Design

Job ID: 38236425

Budget: $250 – $750 AUD

I am seeking someone with an intimate knowledge of Victron systems and high-output alternators to help me plan & design some parts of my boats electrical system. I already have the batteries, solar, inverter amd AC charger sorted. I want to add a high output alternator to my motor (I'm thinking around 150A but that's negotiable) as a replacement for my AC generator, and (at a later date) a wind generator.
1200AH 12V battery bank (LiFePO4)
400W solar (for now) via Victron SmartMPPT
Victron Multiplus II
Victron BMS & shunt
Cerbo GX (not yet wired in)

Mostly I want to figure out how to connect the alternator (what alternator?) via a regulator (what regulator) to my system such that (a) the batteries are properly charged and (b) the cerbo can keep track of all inputs.

I don't mind investing in lynx and orion units as needed.

I have built many solar systems, but am new to integrating alternators or wind generators.

The majority of this job will involve chatting with me, explaining exactly how these systems interact (How does the regulator "tell" the alternator how much power to produce? Does an Orion xs or tr replace the alternators regulator, or add to it? Etc) At the end of these discussions, once I have decided exactly what to buy, we will together come up with a design of exactly how to wire everything in.
