I have all the genuine Honda parts on hand for a head-gasket replacement on my 2018 Civic Si. What I need now is an experienced Honda-focused mechanic who already owns the specialty tools this job demands—torque-angle gauge, cylinder-head bolt stretch gauge, surface-plate and feeler gauges for flatness checks, plus the usual timing and VTEC‐locking fixtures.
The work is straightforward: pull the head, verify its flatness meets Honda spec, fit the new MLS gasket, and reassemble the engine to factory torque values with fresh fluids. No wider diagnosis or inspection is required; I simply want the gasket swapped and the head’s mating surface confirmed before it goes back on.
