Passenger Car Fire Investigation

A passenger vehicle under my care caught fire and I need a qualified fire investigator to determine exactly how and why it started. Your assignment is two-fold: first, conduct a thorough origin-and-cause analysis of the car fire; second, deliver a clear, defensible written report that I can forward to insurers and, if necessary, legal counsel.

The scene is a vehicle, not a building, so experience with automotive fire patterns, electrical systems, fuel delivery components and NFPA 921 methodology will be essential. I expect you to examine the car in person, photograph and document all relevant evidence, preserve anything that may require lab testing, and apply industry-accepted reconstruction techniques before drawing your conclusions.

Deliverables
• Definitive statement of the fire’s origin and cause, supported by facts and standards
• A structured investigation report with timeline, diagrams/photos, and references to governing codes or literature
