Mechanical Design Consultancy for Automotive Product
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
We have a mechanical product design ready (sheet metal + mechanical assemblies), and we are looking for a Mechanical Design Consultant with an automotive background (5+ years experience) to review our design and guide us with improvements before moving into manufacturing.
What we need done:
Review CAD assemblies and sheet metal parts for feasibility
Evaluate structural strength, durability, and load distribution
Check material & thickness selection (automotive-grade reliability)
Verify tolerances, fit-ups, and manufacturability
Suggest improvements for mechanisms (hinges, latches, sliding/pulling parts, etc.)
Recommend design for manufacturing & assembly (DFM/DFA) improvements
Provide a consultancy report with actionable recommendations (and optionally a review call)
Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years in automotive/mechanical product design
Experience with sheet metal fabrication & assembly
Proficiency in Fusion 360 / SolidWorks
Ability to provide both design review + consultancy guidance
This is a short-term consulting assignment, but may extend to future collaborations if a good fit.
