Modern vehicle suspension systems mainly rely on springs and dampers to absorb road shocks and vibrations. Although effective, conventional spring-based suspensions suffer from limitations such as wear and tear, reduced efficiency over time, increased maintenance, and limited adaptability to varying road conditions. This project aims to overcome these drawbacks by introducing a springless suspension system using bevel gears.

The proposed system replaces traditional springs with a mechanical arrangement of bevel gears that converts vertical wheel movement into controlled rotational motion. When a vehicle wheel encounters a bump or uneven surface, the vertical displacement is transferred through a rack or linkage mechanism to a set of bevel gears. These gears distribute the force evenly and reduce the impact transmitted to the vehicle chassis, thereby improving ride comfort and stability.

The bevel gear mechanism helps in smooth transmission of forces at right angles and ensures efficient shock absorption without the need for elastic components. This design minimizes energy loss, enhances durability, and reduces dependency on components that fatigue over time, such as springs and shock absorbers.

The springless suspension system offers several advantages including lower maintenance, improved load handling, compact design, and longer service life. It is particularly suitable for applications in automobiles, off-road vehicles, and heavy-duty transport systems where durability and reliability are critical.
